Designed with families, not for patients

A clock that keeps the bond with the people you love.

Ally Display + Ally Companion is a tablet at your parents' that looks like a clock — and an app on your phone that lets you send them a photo, a voice note, or call them. No menus. No apps to open. Nothing to learn.

How it works

Three steps. No complication.

You install the tablet once. You keep your app. The rest happens on its own.

01

You install the tablet at your loved one's

You set it on the entryway console or mount it on the kitchen wall. It powers on, shows a QR code, and that's it. No account to create for your loved one, no password to remember.

02

You scan the QR from your app

The app installs on your iPhone or Android. You scan the code, the tablet is paired to your account. If other family members want to join, you invite them in two taps.

03

You stay connected from anywhere

Photos, voice messages, medication reminders, video calls: it all goes through the tablet that looks like a clock — not through an app your loved one would have to learn.

What you can do

Everything you need. Nothing more.

We removed everything that didn't help. What remains is what truly helps day-to-day.

A photo of the granddaughter shows in full screen, with her voice.

You take a photo, type a word, record your voice if you want. On the tablet, it appears full-screen with audio playback. No notifications, no feed. Just a photo, a moment.

Hélène · il y a 2 minutes « Regarde comme Léa a grandi, elle a fait son premier dessin pour toi. »
Frédéric · hier 20:14 « On pense fort à toi maman. Bonne nuit. »

Medications, lunch, the walk — at the right moment.

You set up recurring appointments once. The tablet lights up at the set time. If it isn't confirmed, you know.

A video call that picks up by itself.

You call from your app. The tablet rings 8 seconds, then answers. Your loved one doesn't have to understand or touch anything.

A glance is enough to know all is well.

On your app, you see the screen your loved one is seeing, their mood for the day, and the rhythm of their day. No surveillance, no alarm.

A video or audio call in one gesture — wherever you are.

Start the call from your phone — your loved one's tablet rings and answers automatically after 8 seconds. No app to open, no menu to learn.

FAQ

The questions we get often.

Can't find your answer? Write to us at hello@allydisplay.com, we reply same day.

Does my loved one need to know how to use a screen?+

No. The tablet asks nothing. It shows the time, and at the right moment shows a message, a reminder, or a call — which starts on its own. If your loved one wants to interact, a single touch is enough (one gesture) or doing nothing (the content fades away).

What if the tablet is unplugged or loses Wi-Fi?+

The clock keeps working offline. You get a notification in your app as soon as it has been disconnected over 10 minutes, so you can call your loved one.

Is my data private?+

Yes. Photos, voices and videos are end-to-end encrypted between your app and the tablet. No human at our company has access. Designed and hosted in Switzerland, nFADP and GDPR compliant.

Can I invite other family members?+

Yes — up to 5 caregivers on the Family plan. Each one gets their own alerts and can send their own messages. You can also invite the family doctor or home carer with limited permissions.

What if I don't want it anymore?+

You cancel any time from the app — the subscription ends at the end of the current period, no fees. If you bought the tablet, you keep it. Your data isn't auto-deleted: you can keep it, export it, or request deletion any time, and we delete it within 7 days.

Can I use my own tablet?+

Yes. Ally Display + Ally Companion works on any Android 10+ tablet with at least 4 GB of RAM. We also offer a pre-configured tablet for 199 CHF if you'd rather not install anything.

What does the person at the tablet see when we watch "live"?+

The same as you see in your app — that is, what's on the screen (the time, a message, a reminder). The camera is off until a call is active. No surveillance.

Where can I find the user manual?+

The full manual is on allydisplay.com/user-guide — read online or download as PDF.
